Whom are you?
A few of my friends were curious about my blog name, so I am going to use this post to clarify.

n.
1. One of a number of women regarded as oracles or prophets by the ancient Greeks and Romans.
2. A woman prophet.

The name of my blog is ‘Sibyl Eyes’. This has several meanings, as well as being a play on words.
First it is an ode to my favorite writer, Philip K Dick, who wrote an autobiographical short story called “The Eye of the Sibyl”, one the first pieces written after his infamous VALIS experience. The short story pinpoints the moment Phil decided his fate as a sci-fi writer.
Now for some historical background, there were many sibyls, the most famous of which was the Cumaean Sibyl who assisted Aeneas in his descent to the underworld. In the Aeneid, written at the close of the first century BC, Virgil names Cumae as a place where Daedalus, flying from Crete, built a temple to Apollo, and where he later dedicated his wings. Virgil also describes the sibyls sanctuary as a labyrinthine network of caves.
Although she was a mortal, the Cumaean Sibyl lived about a thousand years. The story goes that Apollo offered to grant her a wish in exchange for her virginity, so she took a handful of sand and asked to live for as many years as the grains of sand she held. Later, after she refused his love, she withered away because she forgot to ask for eternal youth. Her body grew smaller with age, eventually being kept in a jar until only her voice was left.
A verse about the Sibyl by the great poet Virgil:
“At last the Final Time announced by the Sibyl will arrive:
The procession of ages turns to its origin.
The Virgin returns and Saturn reigns as before;
A new race from heaven on high descends.
Goddess of Birth, smile on the newborn baby,
In whose time the Iron Prison will fall to ruin
And a golden race arises everywhere.
Apollo, the rightful king, is restored!”
The sibyl is a wild haired woman possessed by ecstatic visions of the future. She is a vessel for the oracular god Apollo, who whispers softly in her ear, the echo of a thousand voices vibrating through her cave.
Time is cyclical and history repeats. The Sibyl knows this. I hear her in my dreams and now she’s breaking into waking life. When once I used to resist for fear of madness, I now allow, becoming a channel for her voice, the artist of her visions.
The eyes of the Sibyl see the future and the past superimposed on one plane. This is the “time outside of time”, the shamanic Dreamtime.
Oh my friends, what a joy! For it is that TIME again. We’re at the bridge between the old world and the new, the chrysalis, the Great Transition.
And with this I shall coin the word “sibylize” to give a name to this act of invoking the Sibyl, which has been misunderstood as madness before we learned to decipher and understand.
Today the Sibyl is a voice that flows through all of us, echoing through the labyrinthine caverns of the internet, using the world wide web as her medium of choice…
Synchromysticism, 9/11 & Magick Ritual
Greetings, my friends!
Whether you are aware of it or not, you are all being initiated into the ‘New World Order’. Everyone feels it, although not all are conscious of the Time. Some of you will fight it, albeit vainly, the ignorant will sleepwalk through it, but only a select few will recognize the wake-up call and participate in the creation of it.
Let go of the fear of the unknown, simply listen to your higher self, go with the flow and see where it all leads. An open mind is key to unlocking the ability to see the patterns woven ever so delicately into the shroud veiling the spirit world.
I have long held the intuition that 9/11 was more than just a tragic incident. A deep esoteric aura surrounds this event, which shook the whole world as it was observed live by countless eyes. What happened was a grand magick ritual used to create a portal into a new world. The shock and awe that vibrated through the souls of millions fed the ritual, concentrating great energy to be used in shaping the future.
Not alone in my philosophy, there is a whole subculture that has taken fire known as Synchromysticism. The word was coined by Jake Kotze in August of 2006 in an article posted on his blog Brave New World Order, who defines it as “the art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance.”
It is the study of pop culture infused with the esoteric. The world of archetypes and symbols underlying our reality. The ancients had their myths, today we have the movies on the silver screen.
You will never watch a movie the same way again…
The End is only the Beginning…
Tonight I went to a screening of the new disinfo film, ‘2012: Science or Superstition’. This took place in a local Williamsburg venue called the Public Assembly. The crowd was very small, probably due to the snow storm outside.
Being a well researched 2012 enthusiast, I found this documentary full of familiar faces which make up this subculture. Although many have by now been exposed to the mystical Mayan ‘end-date’ through cultural osmosis, most are not aware of the enormous research that goes into the theories behind this date.
On the panel of experts featured in the film was John Major Jenkins, an independent researcher devoted to the study of ancient Mayan cosmology and philosophy. He is one of the foremost researchers of the Mayan calendar and has penned a number of popular books on the topic. He sites December 21, 2012 to be the date of an extremely rare galactic alignment of our solstice sun and the center of the milky way, occurring only once every 26,000 years!
Scientists are only now acknowledging the link between black holes and the formation of galaxies, a fact that has been intuited by the Mayans thousand of years ago. In Mayan cosmology, the galactic center was the birthplace of stars as well as the portal to the underworld, a spiritual plane to which deities traveled to and fro.
For those who think 2012 is all hype, they need only look at what NASA scientists are saying about the new solar cycle we just entered. Solar cycle 24, which kicked off in early 2008 with the fanfare of beautiful auroras, will peak somewhere around 2012. The peak is characterized by an increase in sunspots and gigantic flares hurling at incredible speeds towards Earth. These flares would cause electromagnetic chaos, disrupting satellites with major solar storms causing “disruption of the transportation, communication, banking and finance systems, and government services; the breakdown of the distribution of potable water owing to pump failure, and the loss of perishable foods and medications because of a lack of refrigeration.” That sure sounds like the end, no?
While the growing cult of over zealous misinformed new agers surrounding 2012 tends to make me cringe, I see the underlying necessity of this phenomenon. For many it serves as a catalyst to awakening their higher selves and opening eyes to the mystery of the universe. Of course, for others it is just another form of escape from reality, an excuse to to get lost in the fog of mysticism and not have to face up to facts.
Considering myself of a more practical nature, I am interested in the NOW and the real steps we can take to freedom in a greener, more enlightened world. It is a task that calls on all those who can see far enough past their immediate needs and glimpse the Great Work underlying it all.
The film also touched on the fascinating phenomenon known as the precession of the equinoxes, which explains the passage of mankind through the twelve Ages. It seems we really are at the dawn of Aquarius, with the full blossom of the Golden Age only 700 years away, much to the disappointment of all the new agers and bible maniacs waiting for the rapture on December 21, 2012. Looking at the state of our planet, it seems a few more hundred years is a more likely time frame.
The planet is indeed undergoing great changes. Humanity is mutating and evolving while the internet is fueling the information revolution, propelling technology exponentially towards singularity. We are at a Great Transition where the shifting of powers will create mass chaos during which a New World Order will emerge.
So, what will 2012 bring???
It is something each one of us must answer for ourselves. A better question would be, what would your highest self like to create today?

Finally, after 3 weeks of Mercury in retrograde, we are ready to move forward in the hard-working sign of Capricorn. With Mercury, the messenger planet back on course, there should be no holding you back this month. Lay your foundation for the future and unveil your action plan for success. A review of the last two weeks of events in the eyes of the sibyl:
January 20th marked the inauguration of president Barak Obama. This event couldn’t have been more synchronized, as it occurred during the Mercury retrograde entering in the sign of Aquarius, the humanitarian water- bearer signaling the dawn of a new age.
Whenever Mercury, the planet of communication, is retrograde everything that falls under its rule gets reversed and stalled. It was very curious to see this manifest live world-wide when Obama stumbled over his oath to office!
Obama, who took the oath with his left hand resting on Abraham Lincoln’s Bible, started the oath prematurely, then Mr Roberts, instead of saying, “that I will faithfully execute the office of the president of the United States”, had shifted “faithfully” to the end of the phrase.
After the awkward pause, the chief justice continued, stumbled AGAIN placing ‘faithfully’ correctly but failing to repeat the word ‘execute’
Obama flashed a smile but then recited the line as Roberts had originally said the first time, incorrectly!
Wow, I must have almost fell out of my chair when this happened as I was aware of the underlying meaning of this seemingly trivial mistake. Vigilance is key to deciphering reality. This moment reinforced my vision of Obamas destined role as president at this particular time in history. Many have compared him to Lincoln, and if history repeats, as it always does, we will see many of the same events echoed in the next few years. Looks like he will be tested severely and has a major global role to play in this world. More on this fascinating topic later…
The powerful annular solar eclipse on January 26th, occurs in Aquarius, marking the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Earth Ox. Looks like this year is all about plodding hard work and the green! This is exactly the message Obama sends, inspiring Americans to work hard for their country, and promising to create thousands of new ‘green-collar’ jobs to mitigate the effects of the mass unemployment sweeping the country as this recession is just getting started.
My advice for all those who seek to have a harmonious and prosperous 2009, is to focus on laying new foundations invested in a greener future. In 2008, the year of the rat, we have seen the last of the vermin flee the sinking ships with their bailouts, scrambling to get out of office before we realize just how royally we’ve been duped, leaving us to take care of the mess. Now in order to survive in the coming years, and even prosper, it is absolutely essential to align ourselves with the new, progressive energy that is sweeping the planet.
We are all becoming increasingly aware of the impact we yield on the earth and our task now is to plow the fields and make them green again, utilizing Aquarian technology. Solar power, clean energy and the planning of sustainable communities will take center stage this year.
After decades of burning ancestral remains, it is time to outgrow our dependence on oil or die out like the dinosaurs. Critical mass is approaching for global change, and the corporations that do not comply to the demands of this new rising class of enlightened consumers will perish.
Transparency in government and business will begin to be the norm and green will be the rule. Any endeavors and businesses involved in improvement, whether on the global or individual scale will see progress.
This is THE most exciting time to be alive. The future is NOW, a blank page. Are you ready to become a co-creator of the greatest cosmic novel ever written? The choice is always yours…
